SUP (Stand Up Paddle Boarding) is located just south of Castaways Bar and Grill in a hut on the bike path.
Sunday, July 13 from 9:30 am to 2:00 pm
Join us for a day of fun at the beach! Begin with a Stand Up Paddle boarding (SUP) Lesson, followed by lunch and relaxation. Our lesson will begin with on land instruction before everyone hits the water to give it a try. Our instructors will have you standing or kneeling, paddling around in no time.
We’ll finish up with some fun games and races to show off our new found skills! If paddle boarding isn't your thing, you are welcome to hang out with us on the beach – you can save our spot and snag us a volleyball court for after lunch!
Lunch will include sandwiches, chips and non-alcoholic beverages. Bring your favorite cold salad or desert to pass (No glass allowed on beach). Choose ham, turkey or veggie when you sign up. After lunch we’ll enjoy swimming, Frisbee, volleyball, or simply relax on the beach with a fun group of people and free wi-fi. Note: No refunds for late arrivals - meet at 9:30, we hit the water promptly at 10.
***PARKING*** At that time of day, there is a 99% chance you will not be able to park at North Avenue Beach. One alternative is Lincoln Park Zoo. Give yourself an extra 1/2 hour to park and walk over to the beach. Or, see public transportation options halfway down this page. Arrive early.
