Bike along the Fox River Trail
Join us for a scenic bike ride on the Fox River Bike Trial which runs along the routes of historic railroad lines, crossing six bridges along the way, and passing through nature preserves and charming towns and villages.
Start from Aurora, IL, southern point of the 40-mile Fox River bike trail. Lunch (TBD spot) and turnaround point in South Elgin (17 miles/1 ½ hours) and then bike back to Aurora parking lot (~ 35 miles round trip)
If you want a shorter ride, St. Charles is 11 miles/1 hour so an option for you. Stay tuned.
Pace: Moderate pace; approximately 12 mph. ~ 35 miles roundtrip distance.
Where: Meet at McCullough Park where the Fox River trail starts (exact location to be announced).
When: Saturday, August 17, 2024
Time: Meetup at 9 AM. The ride will leave the lot promptly at 9:30AM.
