Cancellation Policy:
Cancellation Procedures
The confirmation e-mail states the cancellation policy for that event. Unless otherwise stated in the announcement and the confirmation letter, confirmed reservations can be cancelled at no penalty until 21 days after opening date. Subsequent cancellations will be charged up to the full trip price, as determined by the appropriate trip or activity director, depending on the loss incurred by LSSC. The minimum cancellation penalty will be $20 for weekend trips and $30 for major trips. The minimum cancellation penalty will be $10 for one-day trips, events or activities. No shows will be charged up to the full trip or event price, as determined by the appropriate trip or activity director, depending on the loss incurred by LSSC.

Contingencies
LSSC will not be liable for cancellation/delay of air or ground transportation due to strikes, labor disputes, weather, government actions, or other cause beyond its control. LSSC reserves the right to change mode of transportation or schedules, and participant hereby releases any claims against LSSC regarding cancellation/schedule change.

Bike and Barge: Amsterdam to Bruges - September 18 - 26, 2024


How about a bike and barge trip through the canals, rivers, historic towns and Zeeland waterways from Amsterdam to Bruges starting September 18 for 9 days. Upon arrival in Amsterdam we will stay one night at the NH Caransa hotel, breakfast included, then board our barge at 12:30 on the 19th, The Liza Marleen is a premium barge with comfortable cabins with twin beds (2 to a cabin).


Breakfast, packed lunches and three-course dinners await us every day. All for $2110*.  Regular bikes and helmets are included in our fee (electric bikes are an additional $119.90), as well as a tour guide on our rides and through towns. GPS and maps are available for those who wish to venture without the guide.

Airfare, alcoholic beverages, museum and other fees, tips are not included. Daily bike rides take us through fantastic scenery and towns.  The Dutch 17th century Golden Age and the heyday of the Flemish trading cities of the Middle Ages are united in this route. Amsterdam, Gouda, Windmills of Kinderdijk, the Delta Works, and the Flemish towns Ghent and Bruges are the highlights.

*As this is an overseas trip, the currency exchange rate may change. If substantial, we reserve the right to ask for additional funds to compensate the club.
