Volunteer with fellow LakeShore Ski and Sports Club members to help beautify our Chicago River and Parks.
What to expect: volunteers should expect to work and get a bit dirty. This is an outdoor activity located in a variety of city parks, forest preserves, etc. along the banks of the Chicago River and its tributaries. Your morning will start out with a welcome from your site captain, signing of waivers (required), and T-shirt distribution. This will be followed by an overview of the day’s activities, safety talk, and distribution of supplies to volunteers. Volunteers will work along the river banks and help to remove litter, sort out recyclables and remove invasive species.
What to bring: Wear closed toe shoes and comfortable clothing. This activity will go on rain or shine. Bring water, sunscreen, and your favorite work gloves.
Registration (RSVP) is Required so we know who will be attending.
You will complete an event day waiver at the site.
